Modulo D® is Denitool's modular turning tool system for combined mill-turn centers (and turning machines) with modern tool holders. It has two parts: a **chuck unit** (German "Spanneinheit") that clamps in the machine spindle or turret, and an interchangeable, hardened **insert carrier** (German "Schneidkopf", cutting head) that holds one indexable insert. Chuck unit and insert carrier meet at a patented, rigid interface of ⌀ 32 mm (interface code `MOD32`) with integrated coolant guiding. The carrier is fixed to the chuck unit with a differential screw. The system lets you use high positive rake Denitool inserts on mill-turn centers; when an insert or carrier is damaged (for example in a collision), you only replace the insert or the carrier.
