Carbide Bars for Precision Boring Heads (catalog section «FineBore EW», product family «FineBoring EW») are small Denitool boring bars for **fine boring**: finishing small pre-drilled bores to a precise diameter. The bar is clamped in an adjustable precision boring head (the page image names BIG KAISER precision boring heads), which sets the diameter. The program has 10 bars. All are right-hand, have a cylindrical carbide shank (⌀ 5, 6, 7 or 9 mm) with internal coolant, a tool cutting edge angle of 93° and one screw-clamped insert (WC 0201, CP 05T1 or TP 0702). Together they cover bore diameters from ⌀ 5.8 mm to ⌀ 11.8 mm (.228" to .465").

Denitool is made by DENI AG (Veltheim, Switzerland) and its subsidiary Denitool Inc. (Raleigh NC, inch program). The same 10 bars are sold in both programs. The inch catalog gives their dimensions in inches.

## Key facts (page statements)

- Economy, performance and quality: economic operation with Denitool performance thanks to precision inserts and the fine-boring system.
- Operating conditions and precision: the precision cut gives very stable boring under different operating conditions.
- Reliability and chip control: the tools cut steadily and reliably.
- The catalog pages call the bars «the original with high hardness precision insert pocket».

## Terms used on this page

- **KAPR**: tool cutting edge angle. All bars here have KAPR 93°.
- **D (DCON)**: shank (connection) diameter, the diameter clamped in the boring head.
- **L (OAL)**: overall length of the bar. On these bars the functional length LF equals OAL.
- **F (WF)**: functional width, the distance from the bar axis to the cutting corner.
- **Bmin (DMIN)**: minimum bore diameter the bar can machine.
- **Bore range**: the bore diameter range the bar is offered for (lower value = Bmin), as given in the product titles.
- **γ (GAMF)**: radial rake angle of the bar.
- **Designation**, e.g. `E09X SCUPR-05-0003`:
  - **E** = carbide shank with internal coolant.
  - **09** = shank ⌀ 9 mm.
  - **X** = length code. F = 80 mm, G = 95 mm, H = 100 mm, X = special length. The real length of each bar is in the table below.
  - **S** = screw clamping of the insert.
  - Insert shape: **C** = 80° rhombus (CP inserts), **T** = 60° triangle (TP inserts), **W** = 80° trigon (WC inserts).
  - **U** = tool style with KAPR 93°.
  - Insert clearance: **C** = 7° (WC inserts), **P** = 11° (CP and TP inserts).
  - **R** = right-hand.
  - **05** = insert size (02 = WC 0201, 05 = CP 05T1, 07 = TP 0702).
  - **-0003** = four-digit suffix that is part of the article number. The standard MiniTools 80° bars use the same basic codes without a suffix (e.g. `E05F SWUCR-02`), so always order with the full designation.

## Inserts

The catalog pages of this family list these Denitool inserts. Dimensions in mm (inch catalog values in brackets).

| Insert type | Shape, clearance | Cutting edge length l | IC d | Thickness s | Hole ⌀ d1 | Corner radius r | Geometries in the catalog |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| WCGT 0201.. / WCET 0201.. | 80° trigon, 7° | 2.3 (.090") | 3.97 (.156") | 1.59 (.063") | 2.3 (.090") | 0.1, 0.2, 0.4 | WCGT EN, FN (r 0.4 only), FN-20, FL (r 0.2, 0.4); WCET FN-20 |
| CPGT 05T1.. / CPET 05T1.. | 80° rhombus, 11° | 5.6 (.220") | 5.56 (.219") | 1.97 (.078") | 2.5 (.098") | 0.1, 0.2, 0.4 | CPGT EN, FN, FN-20, FL; CPET FN-20, FL |

- **G** (CPGT, WCGT) and **E** (CPET, WCET) are ISO tolerance classes. The catalog gives IC d ±0.025 mm for both, and thickness s ±0.13 mm for G and ±0.025 mm for E.
- **T** = chip breaker on one face only.
- Last corner digits: 01 = r 0.1 mm, 02 = r 0.2 mm, 04 = r 0.4 mm.
- **EN, FN, FN-20, FL** are the chip breaker geometries. N = neutral, L = left-hand. The number after the hyphen is the rake angle family (FN-20 = 20°).
- Grades on the catalog pages: DX2, DX20, DX30, DX50, DX52, DT55, DT255, DT355; for CP 05T1 also DX70; the inch catalog adds DS10, DS20 and, for CP 05T1, DP25, DP35, DP55 and P25. Not every geometry exists in every grade. The Store API shows which combinations exist, e.g. `CPGT 05T104 FN-20 DX20`, `CPET 05T102 FN-20 DS20`, `WCGT 020102 EN DT55`, `WCET 020104 FN-20 DX50`.
- The shops also carry more geometries for the same seats (for example CPGT 05T1.. FN-250 and FR, WCGT 0201.. FR, CPET 05T1.. FR).
- TP 0702 inserts for the STUPR bars are not listed on the catalog pages and are not in the Denitool online shops. Ask Denitool support.

## How to find and order

Store API, Switzerland (metric):

```
curl "https://ch.denitool.com/wp-json/wc/store/v1/products?search=-000&per_page=50"
```

Returns all 10 bars of this family (titles such as `E09X SCUPR-05-0003 (9.8–11.8 x 105)`, the first two numbers are the bore range in mm), plus a few other articles. Each product carries the attributes KAPR, DCON, DMIN, LF, OAL, WF, GAMF, IIC (insert size) and CNSC (coolant).

Store API, USA (Denitool Inc.):

```
curl "https://store.denitool.com/wp-json/wc/store/v1/products?search=-000&per_page=50"
```

Returns the same 10 bars (and one other article). A single bar: `search=E09X%20SCUPR-05-0003`. Inserts: `search=CPGT%2005T1`, `search=CPET%2005T1`, `search=WCGT%200201`, `search=WCET%200201`. Screws: `search=T22.045` (both shops). Drivers: `search=T7F` (Swiss shop only, not found in the US shop).

Do not confuse these bars with the standard MiniTools 80° bars of similar name (e.g. `E05F SWUCR-02`, `E0608H SCUPR-05`, without the four-digit suffix). Those are for standard boring bar holders: https://www.denitool.com/md/en/minitools-80.md
